40 Weeks

Today's the due date! We are patiently waiting for our little Chloe to make it known that she is ready to come out. Last Friday was my last day at the MTC, so I've been home this week "nesting." We hope she comes soon!

Figuring out the new car seat

With help from Cocoa, we finally figured out the ins-and-outs of our new Maxi-Cosi car seat. This was a brand recommended to us by one of Duncan's home teaching families.

Future Heirloom Rocker

We couldn't have a new baby without a rocking chair. I know the new "glider" rockers are the thing to buy these days, but we wanted to go with something more traditional. We hope to have this chair for a long time. It's so comfortable! We look forward to many hours of cuddling and rocking our little one(s). (detail shot below)

"The Masked Bandit"...

...That's what Duncan said when he saw this 2-D shot of Chloe. We thought it was a funny picture and wanted to share.

Here's another picture of our 35-37 week-old daughter. She's growing up so fast! :)

She's flexible, too!

Rexburg Temple

Right after the baby shower, Duncan and I jetted up to Rexburg to visit Hannah and Andrew and to go to the Rexburg temple open house. Hannah, Duncan and I went to the open house at about 8:00 that evening, while Andrew stayed home with Madelyn. The tour started in a stake center next to the temple, where we watched a video about temples and then walked through a covered (and heated!) walkway into the temple. The Rexburg temple is lovely--so elegant and simple. We had to check our camera before going on the tour, and it was such a fast tour that we forgot to pick up our camera on the way out. We returned to the stake center the next day (Sunday) to see if we could retrieve the camera, but nobody seemed to know how to help us. We finally found a nice gentleman in the library who persevered with us long enough to search through some rooms and, just before giving up, we found it! So, we didn't get any pretty night shots of the temple, but we got some nice ones with all the snow. Rexburg was covered with it! We left Hannah and Andrew's at about 5:30 Sunday evening and made it home by 10:30. Not bad considering some of the road conditions. We always have such a fun time with Hannah and Andrew. Thanks, guys, for letting us come and for treating us so well!

The Baby Shower

My good friend, Adrielle (in the first picture), graciously hosted a lovely baby shower for me on Saturday, January 19th. It was so good to see so many friends and family, and all the gifts were absolutely darling. What a joyous time for me and Duncan as we await the arrival of our daughter in a few weeks.

Here is the quilt that Maizie made for me. She is so talented. It even has her "Daisy Head" label sewn in it. :)

Nancy was able to come from Price for the shower. Thanks, Nancy!

Madelaine came too, and had fun with Aunt Nancy!
