Pioneer Weekend in Idaho

Last weekend we made a trip to Idaho to visit Duncan's family. Part of our visit included going to Rexburg to the Friday Farmer's Market. This is the first year for a farmer's market in Rexburg, and Hannah is taking advantage of the opportunity to sell her homemade wares. She sells bread and granola and has done quite well; both items have become popular among the local citizens. Way to go Hannah!
Well, since we were planning to visit that weekend, I wanted to get in on the action. Hannah was nice enough to let me mooch some space in her booth.
There's a homemade Boursin that I make that goes really well with the kind of bread Hannah makes--actually, it goes really well with just about anything. I thought that the cheese spread would sell well, but found out too late that I needed a food permit to sell it, so we bagged that idea. Nevertheless, I spent the two weeks preceding the trip to make customized greeting cards with some of my original photography; I also put together some framed prints to sell.
Unfortunately, I can't report any booming success. The stars and the planets were not aligned for me that day; I'll try not to hold it against Rexburg. It was a fun experiment anyway.
We also got to spend a couple days in Pocatello with Mamere and Papa Peterson. Chloe enjoyed splashing around in the kiddie pool. Duncan also got to go back up to Rexburg to enjoy an afternoon of fishing with Andrew.

i would buy your pictures, they are beautiful. your display looks great. don't give up. you should try selling some of your beautiful temple pictures. they are more regional and may sell better due to their iconic cultural connection with the community.

I love your france pictures. "everything is better when it's french" - the new hardees commercial.

Hi Duncan and Gina,
I just happened to see your blog on Janet and Glenn's blog and saw that you were in Rexburg a few weekends ago. We live in Rigby right off of Highway 20. Does Hannah still live in Rigby too? Looks like you had a fun time, and your daughter is adorable! I meant to go to the Farmer's Market that day, but didn't make it. Some Friday my family will have to go up there and try some of Hannah's bread. :) Hope your folks are doing well!
