Yes, another recipe. This recipe appeared on the back of my ward's Relief Society bulletin last Sunday, and I happened to have the ingredients to make it that day. (I actually only had 4 oz. of cream cheese so I cut the recipe in half, which was perfect for me, Duncan and Diannah as a first course.) We really liked it. In fact, Duncan said, "Now this has flavor." I guess he wasn't crazy about the last potato soup I made.
4 cups chicken broth
4 cups peeled and cubed potatoes
1/4 cup minced onion
1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, cut into chunks
Combine broth, potatoes, onion, and spices. Boil on medium heat until potatoes are tender.
Smash a few of the potatoes to release their starch for thickening. Reduce to low heat. Add cream cheese. Heat, stirring frequently, until cheese melts.

One of my hobbies is collecting and trying out new recipes. Thanks for sharing!
YUMMY!! That will be good on a cold Alaskan winter day.
