The Latest on the Girls

Charlotte has recently begun pulling herself up on furniture and such. She looks pretty proud of herself, doesn't she?

Here she is trying to balance herself and get both her hands on the eraser.

In other news, Chloe accidentally swallowed some hydrogen peroxide this morning. I had some in one of Chloe's brightly colored plastic cups, sitting on my bathroom counter (I know, I know: stupid), and she thought it was water. It came as quite a shock to her when she realized that it wasn't. We followed the instructions on the bottle and called Poison Control (thank goodness for the Internet!). They were very helpful and reassuring, telling us to watch her, that she would most likely vomit, but nothing worse. He told us that he would call back in an hour. About ten minutes after that phone call, she did throw up foamy stomach juices (she hadn't eaten breakfast yet), and that was the extent of the trauma. Thank goodness!!

Those emergency numbers are always good to have handy - they can be found in the front cover of the phone book (but who uses phone books any more?) The poison control number is 1-800-222-1222. Glad everything turned out okay.

That can be scary! I called poison control once. They are so good to help and calling back to check up on things. Glad it wasn't worst!
